Getting into the Scene – Independent Comics

Was Comiket already a month ago?  It only seems like days ago that James was bemoaning the fact that seeing so many awesome comics in one day can lead to severe wallet drainage. But was that really a month ago? That’s almost ancient history if one considers it in Twitter time (where 5 seconds is like, totally ages ago)
So on that basis the notes I have found in my hard drive must be considered as relics of a bygone era. Yet these notes of far April contain resonance with today’s age – the modern age of May. There is much that may be learnt by the antiquated scroll called ‘Getting into Comics (Learnings From Comiket)’

Camden Crawling with Comics

Rock n’ roll and comics makes perfect sense to me – they can both be vibrant, exciting & edgy. They can also both exist harmoniously in Camden which is why the news that the Camden Crawl is incorporating a new Crawlternative Media Expo is so exciting! Our buddies at Alternative Press will be there, I imagine many  brilliant artists and writers will be there also. We’ll be there, your Auntie June will be there and David Bowie’s hairdresser might be popping along as well. Do you know there’s only one person missing from this crowd? YOU! So see you there!
